French toast

Ingredients:

Eggs 2
Milk (Any Variety) 1/2 cup
Vanilla Extract 1/4 Tsp
Cinnamon Sugar 1/2 tsp
Butter 3 tbsp, divided into 3 pieces
Bread (White or Brioche is best) 6 slices

Tools:

Shallow bowl
Measuring cups
Measuring spoons
Whisk or fork
Frying pan (10 inches is best)
Silicone brush (Optional)
Spatula

Directions:

  1. Crack eggs into the shallow bowl.
  2. Use measuring cups to add milk.
  3. Use measuring spoons to add vanilla extract and cinnamon sugar.
  4. Use whisk (or fork) to beat all ingredients until combined.
  5. Preheat frying pan on medium high heat for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add 1 tbsp of butter; allow to melt while spreading evenly with a silicone brush. Can tils the pan around to spread butter without the brush.
  7. Soak bread in the egg mixture, first on one side, then the other. Place on the frying pan and repeat with a second piece of bread.
  8. Cook bread 3-6 minutes or until golden brown, then use spatula to flip bread on the other side and cook for an additional 3-6 minutes.
  9. Remove bread from pan
  10. Add another piece of butter to pan and repeat steps 7 and 8 until all bread is cooked.
  11. Serve French Toast with maple syrup or sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Toppings:

Fresh berries, bacon, and even eggs make great additions to this recipe. You can also try adding chocolate syrup or whipped cream.
