Banana Overnight Oats

Banana Overnight Oats

Ingredients:

Rolled Oats (not instant) 1/2 cup
Milk (any variety) 1/2 cup
Yogurt (optional) 1/2 cup
Banana 1/2
Sugar (optional) 1 tsp

Tools:

Small container with lid (jar or similar)
Measuring Cups
Knife
Cutting Board
Small Spoon

Directions:

  1. Use measuring cups to scoop ½ cup of oatmeal into the container. 
  2. Use the same measuring cup to pour ½ cup of milk into the container.
  3. If using yogurt, use the same measuring cup to add ½ cup of yogurt to the container.
  4. Peel banana.
  5. Use knife and cutting board to cut the banana in half, then chop one of the halves and place inside the container.
  6. If using sugar, add 1 tea spoon of sugar to the container.
  7. Use spoon to stir all ingredients well.
  8. Refrigerate overnight.
  9. Enjoy in the morning!

Toppings and Consistency:

If oatmeal is too thick in the morning, more milk or yogurt can be added until desired consistency is reached. Also additional toppings, like nuts, seeds, berries, or more fruit, can also be added in the morning.
