Use colander to rinse broccoli, then pat it dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towel.
Use knife and cutting board to chop broccoli into small pieces; set aside.
Crack both eggs into the mixing bowl.
Use measuring cup to add milk to eggs.
Use measuring cup to add cheese to the egg mixture.
Add a pinch of salt and a little bit of pepper to the egg mixture.
Use a whisk or a fork to stir the ingredients together.
Preheat frying pan on medium high heat for 2-3 minutes.
Use measuring spoons to add oil to frying pan and give it a minute to heat up.
Add broccoli to the pan.
Fry broccoli for 3-5 minutes until it starts to brown; use spatula to stir broccoli every minute or so to avoid burning on any one side.
If pan looks dry (can’t see the oil), add more oil, then pour egg mixture into the pan and use spatula to combine with broccoli.
Turn the heat to low and cover the pan with the lid.
Cook for 5 minutes or until omelet looks firm on top.
Use spatula to fold the omelet in half, place it on a plate, and enjoy!
Toppings:
Omelets can be customized for different preferences and tastes by using a variety of toppings. For example, instead of broccoli, the following can be used: cherry tomatoes cut in half, spinach, mushrooms, peppers, bacon crumbles, ham, etc.
