Avocado Toast

Avocado Toast

Ingredients:

Bread 2 Slices
Avocado, ripe 1
Salt
Pepper
Lemon Juice (optional) 1 tbsp

Tools

Chef's knife
Cutting board
Medium sized bowl
Fork
Measuring spoons (if using lime/lemon juice)
Lemon/lime squeezer (if getting juice from actual lemon/ lime)
Toaster
Butter knife

Directions:

  1. Use knife and cutting board to cut avocado in half.
  2. Use hands to squeeze avocado out of its skin into the bowl.
  3. Use fork to break avocado into large pieces.
  4. Add a pinch of salt and a pinch of pepper to the bowl. If using lemon juice, use measuring spoon to add 1 tbsp of juice. If using fresh lemon, use knife to cut it in half, then use a lemon squeezer to squeeze juice into the bowl.
  5. Continue mashing avocado with a fork until all ingredients are mixed together and the consistency is mostly smooth.
  6. Use toaster to toast bread for 1-3 minutes.
  7. Use butter knife to spread avocado mixture on toasted bread. Enjoy!

Toppings:

To make avocado toast even tastier and more fun, additional toppings can be used. Here are some ideas: cherry tomatoes cut in half, bacon crumbles, pomegranate seeds, or even a fried egg!
